Arab Cultural Studies and Fieldwork: Methodlogy, Ethics and Safety
Within the 2021 - 2022 SeSaMO Webinars on "Research and Middle East", Maydan has organized a roundtable on research fieldwork within Arab Cultural Studies. Elena Chiti (Stockholm University) and Teresa Pepe (University of Oslo) have been invited by Maydan to discuss and reflect on the practices of this approach within the Arab Cultural Studies field. In particular, the ethical dymension of this approach has been discussed, while also focusing on the safety of researchers working on the field.
