Aurora Magliozzi is a PhD student at the department Asia, Africa and Mediterranean Studies of the University of Naples L’Orientale. In the same University she is subject expert in Arabic literature. After earning her master’s degree at L’Orientale, she completed the master’s course in Oriental Languages and Culture at the University of Languages and Communications (IULM). She studied Arabic in Amman, at the Ahlan Jordan School, and in Rabat, at Qalam wa Lawh. In 2019 she participated in a research project on the historiography of al-Andalus and the Maghreb at the Escuela de Estudios Arabes (EEA-CSIC) in Granada. Her research project – conducted under the supervision of professor Roberta Denaro and professor Serena Tolino – is aimed to analysing the homoerotic theme in texts of the classical and post-classical period.
